Hanoi's Old Quarter, a night on a cruise boat in Ha Long Bay, then Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels and a day in the Mekong Delta.

Day by day

  1. Day 1Arrive in Hanoi. Evening walk in the Old Quarter and around Hoan Kiem Lake.
  2. Day 2Hanoi city tour: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area, the Temple of Literature and the One Pillar Pagoda. Water puppet show in the evening.
  3. Day 3Drive to Ha Long Bay and board an overnight cruise. Kayaking and a cave visit among the limestone islands.
  4. Day 4Morning on the bay, then back to Hanoi and an evening flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
  5. Day 5City tour: the Reunification Palace, the Central Post Office, the War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh Market.
  6. Day 6Morning at the Cu Chi Tunnels. Free afternoon.
  7. Day 7Day trip to the Mekong Delta: boat rides through the canals, fruit orchards and a coconut workshop.
  8. Day 8Transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for departure.
