How do I book a trip?
Choose a trip, pick your travel date and the number of travellers, and press Continue. We email your invoice with a link to pay the deposit or the full amount by card. We email a booking confirmation once your payment is received.
Can I book a trip the planner suggests?
Yes. Under your plan, ask for a provisional invoice. It shows the estimate broken down into hotels, transport, park fees and permits. Our team checks prices and availability and emails you the confirmed invoice within one working day. Nothing is due until you have the confirmed invoice.
How much do I pay when I book?
30% of the trip price. On gorilla and chimpanzee trips you pay the cost of the permits plus 30% of the rest, because permits are bought in your name as soon as you book. The balance is due 30 days before you travel. Day tours, and trips that start within 30 days, are paid in full when you book.
How can I pay?
By Visa or Mastercard on our bank's secure payment page with 3-D Secure. Bookings over USD 5,000 are invoiced and paid by bank transfer in US dollars.
What if I need to cancel?
Email info@lipatravels.global from the email address you booked with. What we keep depends on how close to travel you cancel:

Cancellation and refund policy
Are international flights included?
No. A price includes only what is listed under "Included" on the trip. International flights, visas, travel insurance and tips are extra unless listed.
Do you arrange gorilla and chimpanzee permits?
Yes, where the trip lists them. We buy them in your name as soon as you book, because the park authorities require it. Once a permit is issued, we can only refund its cost if the park authority refunds us.
Can I change my dates?
Ask us by email and we will try to change dates, names or rooms. If a supplier charges for the change, we pass that charge on to you.
I'm travelling alone. What do I pay?
Prices are per person sharing a room. We email the single-room supplement for you to approve before we confirm the trip. If you don't approve it, we refund your payment in full.
Do I need a visa or vaccinations?
You are responsible for your visas, and we can help with e-visa applications for a service fee. Some countries, including Uganda, ask for a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Check the health rules for every country on your trip.
When do I get my vouchers?
We email your vouchers and final itinerary within one working day of full payment.
Are AFCON 2027 match tickets included?
No. Our AFCON 2027 packages cover travel, accommodation and transfers. Buy match tickets from official sellers.
